hi, im sophie, heres an insight to why I create.

I do believe art is whatever you want it to be but I love exploring the contrast between realism and abstract. Seeing how I can  join them together whilst deriving my main inspiration from the music I listen to. its a massive part of my process, I gravitate towards music and their artists that not only I love but, are/were iconic, unforgettable figures. I want to explore why these people were/are so big and so loved and express this is in my work. I like to explore the discovery of colour and fun, chaotic marks that I can create with basic artist materials, for example, oil pastels and posca pens
